Position
The Faculty of Education at the University of Alberta is currently accepting applications for part-time sessional instructors for the following graduate courses in the Graduate Certificate in Elementary Music Teaching and Learning:
EDU 595 Kodaly Level III Instructor (Pedagogy and Materials): Kodaly Level III is a highly specialized course, requiring an internationally renowned pedagogue in the field of Kodalyian philosophy with extensive international experience in the adaptation of Kodalyian philosophy to a grade 7-12 English language setting.
EDU 595 Kodaly Level III Instructor (Musicianship & Conducting & Choral Ensemble): The Kodaly Level III musicianship and conducting components will be taught within the context of a two-week summer intensive course. On a daily basis and for a duration of 10 days, the successful candidate will teach Kodaly Level III musicianship (1.75 hr/day), choral conducting techniques and literature (1 hr/day), and lead a choral ensemble (1hr/day).
Course dates: July 7 - 18, 2025. This course is in-person on the U of A campus. Note: There is no support for travel to Edmonton or accommodations/meals during this course.
