Trent University invites applications in the Department of Computer Science at the Durham GTA campus for a tenure track position at the rank of Assistant Professor with a suggested starting date of July 1, 2025. This position is subject to budgetary approval.

Candidates must have completed a Ph.D. in Computer Science, or strongly related field. The successful candidate is expected to have a demonstrated research record and the potential to secure external funding. We seek an individual whose main research interests involve Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, Large Language Models and/or Generative AI but will consider exceptional applicants in Computer Security and other areas as well. A genuine commitment to and demonstrated undergraduate teaching experience in a wide area of Computer Science topics is an asset. Candidates are also expected to participate in our graduate programs. The new tenure track faculty member will also be expected to participate in the broader life of the department and to maintain a program of research and publication.
