Position Summary
The Human Resources (HR) Department contributes to the University’s mission by developing and advancing an institutional people strategy. As a strategic partner to the University’s leadership, the Department enables the achievement of the University’s academic mission by fostering a high performing, engaged, and inclusive workforce. It provides strategic leadership in human capital planning, organizational effectiveness, leadership development, talent management, and workforce transformation, ensuring that people’s strategies are aligned with the University’s long-term vision and institutional priorities.

In a university and unionized context, HR partners with academic and administrative leaders to design and deliver innovative practices, policies, and programs that strengthen organizational capacity, support institutional change, and cultivate a collaborative, respectful, and inclusive working and learning environment.

HR promotes a healthy, stimulating, fair, and equitable work environment in accordance with the University’s mission and its commitment to employee well-being, as well as applicable legislation, collective agreements, protocols, regulations, and policies.

Bishop’s University
Bishop’s University is a predominantly undergraduate English-language university. Its primary focus is offering students a quality education in business, sciences, social sciences, the humanities and education. Faculty

Bishop’s 550-acre campus boasts 25 buildings, including seven residences, a Library Learning Commons, and an archival library, two theatres, outstanding classrooms, laboratory and athletic facilities, an arena, a historic chapel, a music recital hall and a daycare. A duck pond and wildlife refuge, an educational farm and a golf course are also found on campus.
